we have a test on module 1: memory, and i cannot understand the working memory model at all, please help! x
working memory model is basically how your short term memory works;
if you do not pay attention to the information in the first place you dont remember it, if you do then it move on to the central executive.
my psych teacher told me that this is like the fat controller off thomas the tank engine it tells the information which part it has to go to, to be corectly processed. It cant hold information for than a few seconds.
this is split into to seperate stores the phonologiacal store and the Articulatory control. One of them is your inner ear and the other is the inner voice, sorry cant remember which way round it is.
4)VISOU-SPATIAL SKETCH PAD
this deals whith visoual information and distances, as well as depth perception
5)THE BUFFER combines all this information to make it easier to create a full picture and then after lots of reheasal into moves into long term memory. hope that helps
