omg I love of mice and men, i am doing that book for my GCSE. Have you watched the film? It helps quite a bit but remember that some bits are added in the film that are not in the book.

tips for dealing with Of Mice and Men

I appreciate that it's really hard to write all you can about a novel in just 45 minutes.

I mark papers on the exam and I can offer you the following advice:

Plan your answer at the start as it will make your work more organised and will normally impress the marker.
pick 4 or 5 main points to answer the question.

Try to look at examples of language being used to create an effect. Learn maybe 5 or 6 which you may be able to put into an essay, such as metaphors, alliteration, similes.

Keep checking the question to make sure you are answering it. Don't just write all you know about the novel.
