Is there any chance you're going to add History onto the revision world A level?

We're currently talking to a few new content guides and hopefully we should have at least a GCSE history area online by January this year.

In short yes we could but we are trying to stick to doing what we feel we do best. We may well have links to books sites in the future and revision book offers.

it could be weird!

but we can add a "cooking recipes"
so when students get boreg with studying they can have a small break
by achieving something good in life!

i thought about psychology
we want a section organised by a psychologist
from:
(i.e.psychology subject guide)
in this age we need support from psychologist
& help to go on with this hard time in our life!

messenger!

can we have something
similar to messenger?
we sign in/out?

talk 2 our frendz from allover the world?

it's like discussion room
but live
i mean happening at the present (time)

we choose our contacts and communicate with subjects' guides!

that would be really awesome!

Hi this is a good idea and one we have discussed at length many times.

The main problem we have is the security and safety aspects, so we decided not to have live chat at this stage in case of unwelcome visitors or rogue members.

We hope you understand but please keep the ideas flowing :)

Chemistry

I will be happy if a chemistry is added to the discussion room.

Glad to see Danny on board! If there is anything you want me to add or help with, please add it. I try to get onto RW at least every other day so there should be a fairly speedy response for a quick question. If it is an area of notes or questions that you are after, that may take a bit longer but let me know!

Quizzes

I think it would be better if the quizzes were interactive with multiple choice questions, so you can select an answer for each question and then mark your answers at the end. Its kinda annoying having to keep clicking on the arrows to see each answer as well, so maybe all the questions could be on one page?

Thanks :D

For the chemistry ones, I have tried to go for "click on the next page" so that you have the chance to choose the right words to answer the question. You might have half of the story right and need help with the other bit.

Multiple choice questions can be good in their place but many students simply click on the reveal button, see "right or wrong" and move on. If they have to read and decide if they were right or not, it can help the revision process.

Some VLE systems are very clever and are able to give good feedback on partial answers. This takes a huge effort to set up, especially if you consider the wide range of exam boards. Think about the students in your own class. Some of them need help to convert a "90% answer" into 100%. Some need help to get up to 30%. I hope your teacher uses different techniques to help these different students with different needs. Imagine trying to do that on a computer.

Good lucj with your revision.

.

i think a 'live chat' would be extremely useful (when u post a comment, no1 replies for ages, and by the time you get a reply, u have already DONE your exam lol)
and also...im struggling in 'music' x

I try to reply to comments on the Chemistry section as soon as possible. The idea for a "live chat" page might be sensible in some ways but as a subject guide I couldn't guarantee to be online whenever anyone needed advice. Perhaps there are enough chat rooms in other places.

I hope you keep using Revisionworld.

would be awesome if more people joined up,how about a comp with getting people to join up.
An online shop to spend our points in maybe.
A voting/poll on different subjects would be fab.
More help & advice on claiming EMA would be a great help for us students.

Revision on the go??

I was just wondering if it would be possible to add some revision podcasts and videos so i can upload them onto my ipod or MP3 player and watch/listen to them on the go...i find it easier to revise that way. :D

Even just links to good sites that provide this would be great!!

A books section under 'anything'. I love to read and it would be good to get some suggestions for what to read next or avoid :)

Mindmaps or videos

An area where you can create mindmaps or watch videos about certain subjects would be good!!!
