I know that when I was learning French and German the only time I'd ever hear it was during school so the best way I found to increase my vocab was to listen to music in the chosen languages.
Some shops do charge a lot more for CDs in foreign languages but there's usually music vids on YouTube/artist websites and it's easy enough to search for the lyrics - print them out, get the dictionary out and learn what the songs are about.
Don't worry as it's not just e.g. Celine Dion out there singing in French. If you're stuck for who to look for, try Amazon.fr or Amazon.de and check out their latest French/German releases (and other Amazon websites).
