Im currently doing a degree in psychology and the practical applications does mean how it applies in real world.....
Milgram has often tried to use his work to explain the Holocaust and why the Nazi's killed millions and then said they were 'just obeying orders'... you can argue the positives and negs of this... for example, Milgram conducted his experiments in a controlled condition...the holocaust was not controlled, also a lot of Nazis like Adolf Eichmann acted on their own to kill Jewish citezens, although Milgram did conduct 17 different trails to test for things such as legitimate authority and proximity to victim.
you could try and explain how the obedience study can be applied today...like a workplace for example... and the employer, employee relationship and what makes people obey there bosses
Hope this helps, Iv jsut completed a 2,500 word essay on it :/
Human Psychology has numerous facts, even this is another world to understand. a lot of skill and knowledge required to understand human psychology. there is an opportunity to earn psychology degree from a recognized university. many of psychology experts already benefited with online psychology degree.
I'm not in school anymore and am studying AS psychology by myself. I would like to know what the question is asking for when it states:
What PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS does the study have?
and how I might be able to answer it.
Thank you.
:fight:
This study demonstrtes how people can act contrary to their conscience and beliefs if ordered to do so by an authority figure
When it says 'practical applications' it could mean what applications does it have to the real world?
Just a guess though so don't take my word for it!
