i am student currently studying philosophy and ethics as an alevel. i was wondering if you could give me some notes on the deontological and ontological arguments? if so that would be very useful for me.
We're not working on A-level just yet, but I can try to answer specific questions if you want to start a new thread.
Careful, though - are you confusing your philosophy and ethics? The Ontological Argument is an argument for the existence of God using logic. Deontological Ethical Theories, on the other hand, are ethical approaches that are duty-based.
we are being made to study relgious studies for gcse and i dont see what the point of that is no one in my class does any work anyway its
dude just forget about what your class does and focus on the subect being taught. R.E is very important as it teaches about various religions denominations and belief not to mention it is another GCSE
Hello everyone
My name is Julian Waterfield and I'm the subject guide for Religious Studies.
I'm starting to produce new resources, but now's your chance to request any particular topics.
Any suggestions would be very helpful - and if any teachers out there would like to share material (non-copyrighted of course) then do let me know.
If you want any particular advice, do start a new thread and we'll see how we can help!
Good luck and I hope you find the site useful!
I now have a Revisionworld e-mail address you can use to contact me directly if you need to -
