Answer

The poem is filled with descriptions that show great praise for the wren. It has ‘raised one’s heart to ecstasy and mirth as well’ so it fills him with pleasure in a huge way. The song ‘hath crowds of happy memories brought’. He sees them in early spring when he is in the fields looking after his sheep. They come to tell ‘the happy stories of the past again’ as if they remind him of happy events from the past.
