The poem is a humorous look at Elvis and how people perceive him and the fact that there are many who impersonate him, mainly men, but some women too. The comedy comes in the fact that it is the least likely type of person who is impersonating him, a female and a nun. Elvis, in many ways, influenced people from all corners of society.
