Batman should be the hero, someone to protect others like his Kid, but this Batman is the ‘big shot’ character that Batman often tries to foil in the cartoons. He is not the superhero, but a cheat and an uncaring figure, but he likes to be seen as a hero, hence the poet wants to expose all the lies and cheating that has gone on.
