He thinks they would want him to be ‘sniffed out by the beagles, picked at by their eagles, pinned down, grilled beneath the sun’, as if tortured for his evil ways. The internal rhyme ‘beagles’ and ‘eagles’ sounds almost comic as if he is suggesting that this is ridiculous.
