What are you going to do? You are going to compare how childhood is shown in Snowdrops and Growing Up. You are going to look at themes and the way in which these themes are presented.
2 – Relationships
What is the relationship between children and adults? What are they like? Remember to consider both stories. How do adults and children interact? Focus on specific scenes which show this interaction.
3 - Language, Structure
Consider how language and structure shows childhood. Consider the words and actions of the children and how they are presented in the stories.
4 – Links
Select a few examples from both stories which show childhood and comment on how they are different and how they are the same.
5 – Conclusion
Come to a firm conclusion using your analysis of the stories sum up how childhood is shown in the two stories and how the writer shows childhood and relationships.
