Traditional view is that women were homemakers, which was seen as a very important job.

Leadership in Churches is still a varied issue – some Christians (e.g. Roman Catholics) believe that a priest represents Jesus and so only men can be priests.

Other Christians believe that the priest is simply the leader of a church and so men and women can do the job equally as well.
