Ring topology

Image

In a ring topology, all of the terminals or other nodes in the network are connected together in a circle, with no device having any more importance than any other.

Although the computers are connected in a circle they do not need to be placed in one.

KEY POINT- An obvious disadvantage is that if there is a fault in any part of the circle,
all of the nodes will be affected.
