Elizabeth Jennings

Elizabeth Jennings (1926–2001) was a distinguished British poet, known for her clear, lyrical verse and her exploration of themes such as faith, love, and human vulnerability. Born in Boston, Lincolnshire, she studied at St Anne's College, Oxford, before working as a teacher and later as a full-time writer. Her poetry, often characterised by its formal structure and emotional depth, reflects both personal experience and broader existential questions.
